Cost of Studying in the USA

There are two types of universities in the United States: public-funded colleges and private institutions. Because public universities are predicated on non-resident fees, they are typically substantially cheaper than private universities. To cover tuition, an individual will need between $10,000 and $55,000 each year. The table below displays the average tuition fees for various levels:

STUDY PROGRAM

APPROXIMATE TUITION FEES IN USD$

Undergraduate Bachelor Degree

$15,000 to $40,000 per year

Graduate programs

$20,000 to $40,000 per year

Doctoral Degree

However, an F1 visa application, which allows international students to study full-time at a US institution as part of the SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program), typically costs $510. It should be mentioned that candidates must apply at least three months before the start of their course. Applicants who are participating in a US government-sponsored programme with the codes G-1, G-2, G-3, or G-7 are also exempt from paying the SEVIS fee.
